Sieges

An enemy messenger has told us that they are planning to attack our castle. We will need to restock on food and drink. The attackers may also try to dig there way under the tower, but we already have anti tunnels prepared to fight. And for the people above grown can know there are people under them they have water filled pots, and if it ripples then they know there are people under them. And why enemies would want to take down our castle is because our castle holds down conquered land, so if they take down the castle were doom.

Knights that Defended the Castle

Knights were professional soldiers that fought for nobles. They were high on chivalry, bearing the noblest weapons and riding the best horses. Usually only boys in the noble family became knights. Training of a knight began around the age of seven, serving as an errand boy until he was fourteen. He then became a squire. This was the real training would begin. He would learn how to use the lance and start wearing armor. The squire also served as an assistant to the knight. At the age of his training at 21, he became a knight.

The Weakest Part

The weakest part of the castle was its entrance. To make up for that weakness, strong and sturdy gatehouses were very important. Placing the gatehouse near the moat gave it more protection. The moat too was vitally important. The enemy could not swim across it for fear of drawing and it would make them more vulnerable against the castle guards. In order to secure the castle, you have to make sure that the entrance is properly protected.
